The College Preparatory Math teacher will be responsible for teaching high school students.

Salary:
Salary Schedule For Teachers Hired On Or After July 1, 2010 (starting at $47, 858 per year)

Qualifications:
- We are looking for an individual who possesses a growth mindset, and is committed to growing and developing professionally.

- This position requires appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional Secondary Mathematics certification.

- Additionally, a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or in a related discipline which reflects sufficient mathematics coursework or a high level of math proficiency is preferred. Please note that individuals who hold these qualifications but not the Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional Secondary Mathematics certification will be required to acquire one if hired.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Teaches students in 9th through 12th grades.

2. Utilizes course outline to develop rigorous course syllabus

3. Prepares and delivers lessons that align to the syllabus utilizing data to support the District's vision for High Quality Instruction (Culturally Relevant Pedagogy, Rigor, Student Engagement and Demonstration of Student Understanding).

4. Attends and actively participates in meetings with other teaching staff as well as programmatic supports.

5. Provides a safe environment for the students.

6. Maintains accurate records of student attendance and grades.

7. Follows school procedures as outlined in the faculty handbook, including appropriate duty assignments, school committees, etc.

8. Collaborates with families, community members, staff, and outside professionals concerning students.

9. Monitors and attends extra-curricular events and social activities.

10. Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Principal may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is primarily sedentary in nature. Employee will be required to operate computer system for data entry, and have the ability to complete necessary paperwork. This position requires minimum physical effort and not subjected to Occupational Health and Safety risks.
