This is a brand new bilingual school opening in September 2019. They will open with about 300 pupils aged 6-18 years old (but have capacity for a maximum of 1728 pupils and a boarding capacity of 525). The programme is based on the Chinese K-12 curriculum blended with Western resources, pedagogy and philosophy. The school will have state of the art facilities.
They are looking for a committed and creative Science Teacher who can teach IB Chemistry and Biology. Familiarity with a wide range of curricularincluding the IMYC and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is an advantage. Knowledge of varied examination pathways and a broader knowledge of the IBDP as a whole would be desirable but not essential. Experience of teaching students within a multilingual environment will be an advantage but not a prerequisite, a desire to teach in a multilingual environment is a must. Candidates should be collaborative practitioners who enjoy the benefits of working in a fast-paced international bilingual setting where innovative lesson design and team teaching is encouraged. Applicants should be suitable qualified with a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. They should also have innovative and imaginative views of the curriculum, knowledge of how effective teaching and learning take place, a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life and be able to adapt quickly to an international environment.
