ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT
Mount View Youth Services Center Detained School provides educational services from a dedicated staff to approximately 275 students yearly in grades 6-12. Located on the Mount View Youth Services Center campus, operated by the Division of Youth Services, in unincorporated Southeastern Jefferson County, we offer students detained by Colorado courts the opportunity to continue with their personal education. Offering core academics, special education, life skills, and a seminar class, we orient project-based and project-solution coursework focused on engaging the student. We strive to provide a quality education while providing opportunities to create, develop, and improve critical mental and social skills for positive personal growth and to achieve their fullest potential.
ABOUT THE JOB
Responsible for the delivery of specified course content. Responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that results in students achieving academic success.
HOURS AND DAYS WORKED
SUMMER TERM INFORMATION: The Mount View Detention Center School summer term will begin 06-03-2019 and end 08-03-2019. Classes will not be in session the week of 07-01 and 07-05-2019. There are 37 days total of instruction at 6.5 hours per day. The rate of pay will be $26.00 per hour. The school day will be 7:30 am - 2:30 pm with a ½ unpaid lunch.
