Requirements:
BA; Iowa Teacher's Certification; ESL Endorsement or the equivalent; previous experience in working with elementary ELs; designing & implementing instructional activities to support and assess; english proficiency in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing; communicating with multicultural/multilingual parents and engaging them as volunteers; communicating with the assistance of an interpreter; excellent record of attendance; flexibility and the ability to work with a variety of staff members and students; computer literate in hardware and software applications (word processing, data base management, and spreadsheets); excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor; proven customer service skills (in person as well as on the phone); requires resourcefulness and excellent organizational skills.
Attend All Training Sessions, TBD (approx 16 hrs); Program Dates: June 24th -August 16th (total of 7 weeks with the week of 4th of July off); contracted Hours 7:30-1:00 Monday-Thursday; Instructional Hours 8:00-11:30 Monday-Thursday; pay will be 5.5 hours per diem
