Modern Hebrew Teachers

Hatikvah International Charter School is a public, secular K-8 program with an enrollment of 500 students whose studies include partial immersion in Modern Hebrew language. Requirements:

The school is seeking a Modern Hebrew teachers for 2019-2020. Candidates need to have excellent oral and written communication skills as a native Hebrew speaker; a sound knowledge of how to use data to drive instruction; strong skills in differentiation; and inquiry based approaches to learning. The candidate must have experience in collaborative planning. The job requires a "Can-do" attitude. The school is unable to sponsor Visas so candidates must have US Citizenship or a green card.  Hatikvah is a public secular school with no religious studies.  Candidates should avoid discussing any religious background in their cover letters.

The school is also hiring Modern Hebrew assistant teachers who should follow the same application requirements.

Duties:

Classroom teacher responsible for designing rigorous, instruction using the Proficiency Approach to language; parent communication; collaborative planning; formative and summative assessment aligned to standards; ability to differentiate instruction for learners; strong behavior management skills; strong organizational skills.
