Digital Marketing Specialist at Growing National Nonprofit

Do you wish you could make a difference in the lives of millions of children? Do you get excited when analyzing marketing data? Did you ask “why” a lot as a 3-year-old? The AVID Marketing & Communications Team is seeking a curious, analytical, data-driven, and detailed digital marketing specialist to join its small but mighty team!

Our ideal candidate is like a dog with a bone when faced with a database problem. You say “yes” more often than “no,” you are an endless source of new ideas, and you love to get stuff done. You enjoy working closely with your team to solve problems and to determine where we can have the greatest impact; this shows in your sense of urgency and desire to continuously learn. Ideally, you have experience in education marketing, and/or an interest in education, or you might have been an educator in a past life! We are looking for someone who brings additional positivity to our happy team, which means you always communicate professionally, and you assume good intent from those around you even when the going gets tough. As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you play a critically important role on our team; we need to know we can count on you to be accountable.

The position’s main responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary administrator of the marketing automation system, understanding its connection and integration to salesforce.com, and working with field-based teams to ensure cross-team communication and collaboration.
  • Attracting prospective educators, converting them into qualified leads, and working with AVID’s divisions and Partner Engagement Managers (i.e., customer-facing staff) to nurture those leads into new customer partners for AVID.
  • Using analytics and creativity to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, and research.
  • Developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing a rich content/editorial calendar that engages prospects and attracts a qualified audience across digital channels (email, web, SEO, SEM, social media, and display advertising campaigns)

This full-time, exempt position receives a competitive salary, PTO and paid holidays, health benefits—including medical, dental, and vision options—16 hours of paid volunteer hours, an automatic 5% 403(b) contribution (after 90 days), performance pay opportunities up to 15% of previous year’s earnings, and the opportunity to be a part of an organization supporting students across the country!

Come be a part of the AVID Center legacy—join our team!

*All interested candidates must apply via the AVID website and include a resume & cover letter.
