Coordinates the planning, developing, and implementing of programs, policies, and procedures for assigned areas to ensure the most effective utilization of resources to support the vision and mission of the school district.

Creates a customer-focused climate and provides quality services and support to schools and other stakeholders.

Consults with the Assistant Superintendents and/or Directors, State Department of Education, school officials, administrators, and other officials to review operations/activities, review/resolve problems, receive advice/direction, and provide recommendations.

Evaluates effectiveness of operations and programs in assigned areas; identifies and recommends improvements or enhancement.

Coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; consults with staff, assists with complex problem situations, and provides technical guidance and expertise to address problems in assigned area.

Ensures compliance with district, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws, where appropriate.

Develops and implements long and short term plans, goals, and objectives for assigned area.

Develops, recommends, and implements budget for assigned area; monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget.

Follows established procedures for ensuring assigned areas are safe.

Communicates through the proper channels to keep supervisor and other appropriate personnel informed of impending problems or events of unusual nature.

Collaborates with zoned / home school administration to ensure smooth transitions of students entering and leaving program.

Maintains open lines of communication with zoned / home school regarding critical student information, including but not limited to attendance, academic progress, and behavior.

Demonstrates effective leadership through collaborative processes and partnerships with parents, community, business, education professionals and school staff.

Manages and supervises the school's financial resources, including the preparation and disbursement of the school's budget and internal accounts in accordance with established practices and procedures.

Directs the establishment of adequate property inventory records and assure the security of school property.

Develops or supervises the development of the master schedule and assign teachers and support staff according to identified student needs.

Manages student conduct and disciplinary issues in accordance with district, state and federal guidelines, policies, procedures, and laws.

Establishes a school-based crisis plan and provide leadership in the event of a crisis. Establish procedures for routine and emergency fire and other drills required by law.

Facilitates group understanding of diversity in an educational setting.

Implements district, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws.

Creates a safe and positive learning environment for students and staff.

Recruits, interviews, and recommends qualified personnel for employment with consideration for school diversity.

Provides differentiated support for teachers, based on individual needs.

Completes evaluations for teachers and support staff in accordance with district and state guidelines. Addresses unsatisfactory performance in accordance with established policies and procedures.
