A well established independent international coeducational school located in Eastern China is looking for a qualified and experienced Head of Football (Soccer) for an August 2019 start. The Head of Football is required to lead and ensure a quality provision of football across all year groups in the school. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing suitable opportunities and pathways for students to excel in football at recreational, competitive, and elite levels. In addition as Academy Director, you will provide ongoing development, feedback and implementation of the team, monitor the progress of players and teams, line manage coaches and oversee programs on site. This post reports directly to the Executive Director of Soccer.

All applicants should have a recognised university degree certification, a minimum of 2 years of football related coaching, evidence of relevant continual professional development, detailed knowledge and understanding of football coaching, understanding and commitment to safeguarding students and recognised football coaching qualifications. Applicants should also show a strong passion for football and the development of young footballers, be passionate about working with children and have an ability to engage them, have the ability to listen to others (children, parents and colleagues) always showing respect for their ideas and an understanding and excitement about working with people from all around the world. Candidates should also be able to show patience and flexibility in the work place, be willing to try new things, have the ability to proactively solve issues that arise and communicate effectively and positively with everyone in the school community.

With an emphasis on a high standard of UK based education embracing the development of qualities to nurture well rounded young global citizens, the school demands personal and professional attributes that reflect sound and up to date teaching methods alongside an ability to deliver effectively in a multicultural and multi-national landscape. The school offers an internationally flavoured UK primary curriculum, enhanced further by its IGCSE and IB diploma courses in the secondary department.
