This teacher position is a hybrid Teacher / Senior Team Lead role in which the teacher spends part of the school day providing high quality instruction as a teacher in his/her own classroom(s) and the other part of the school day magnifying their impact in the Senior Team Lead role at the school.

Salary: See DCTA Teacher Salary Schedule at http://hr.dpsk12.org/benefits-compensation/compensation/ . A person serving in the hybrid Teacher / Senior Team Lead role will receive an annual stipend of $5,500, in addition to his/her teacher salary.

E ssential Functions and Objectives of the Teacher / Senior Team Lead Role:

The Senior Team Lead (STL) is a teacher who, as a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, plays a critical role in helping a school reach their student achievement goals. The Senior Team Lead spends part of the day providing high-quality instruction in their own classroom as a teacher, and part of the day developing a team of teachers' ability to deliver joyful, rigorous and personalized instruction that leads to high academic achievement. As an expert in their content area, Senior Team Leads facilitate collaborative team time, provide 1-on-1 observation and coaching to their peers, and facilitate the end-to-end LEAP growth and performance evaluation for each teacher on their team.

I n addition, the Senior Team Lead will also:

- Contributes to year-long professional development plan and provides whole staff professional learning (when relevant) in their area(s) of expertise.

- Collaborates with School Leaders and Team Specialists to align teacher supports to advancement of school-wide instructional priorities.

- I f you are not currently a DPS teacher, or if you are a DPS teacher with an eligibility status of "Not Applicable" or "Insufficient Data", please be prepared to share evidence of your teacher effectiveness (through your last two summative, multimeasure, end-of-year teacher evaluations) as part of the selection process for this role.

Note: Service in this role is contingent upon confirmation of eligibility through a rating of Effective or Distinguished on this year's final, summative multimeasure evaluation, as well as becoming LEAP Evaluator Certified and completing required training.

E ssential Functions and Objectives of the Teacher Role:

The Intervention Teacher provides direct instruction to small groups of students at the strategic level of intervention in order to supplement core instruction. Assists in screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments. Assists in analyzing student data to determine student profile of needs, and for making instructional placement and instructional focus decisions. Collaborates and consults with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other specialists in a problem-solving approach to implement the most effective instructional plan for students.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

- Must possess a current Colorado Department of Education Teachers License.

- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a public school setting.

- Experience and demonstrated success in increasing student achievement.

- Experience or training in evidence-based interventions.
- Provides direct instruction to small groups of students at the strategic level of intervention in order to supplement core instruction.

- Assists in screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments.

- Assists in analyzing student data to determine student profile of needs, and for making instructional placement and instructional focus decisions.

- Must have experience or training in evidence-based interventions.
