RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assessment and Data Coordinator will support the collection, analysis and use of data for all PLA schools as they work to ensure that each student is able to reach his or her academic potential. The Assessment and Data Coordinator is responsible for five main areas: a) System management and distribution of common assessment materials, b) management of data collection systems, c) presentation of professional development to teachers, school leaders and members of the shared services team, d) analysis of assessment data and e) creation of systems to ensure compliance with state and national testing requirements. The Assessment and Data Coordinator will work collaboratively with CAO, Regional Directors, Instructional Specialist, and school-leaders to create data systems to support the learning of all students.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Candidates who are current or former teachers:
    • At least 2 years of teaching experience with historically under-served students. (required)
    • Achieved significant academic gains as a teacher in his or her own right.
    • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data and using results to modify curricula and instruction to ensure increased student mastery in his or her own classroom.
    • Experience leading professional development or teacher collaboration.
    • Fluency with or a willingness to learn about technology applications used to collect, store and process data such as, but not limited to; web-based assessment systems, Microsoft excel, Microsoft access, Tableau, SQL servers and other data bases.
  • Candidates who are currently data analysts:
    • At least two years of demonstrated experience using technology applications to collect, store and process data such as, but not limited to; web-based assessment systems, Microsoft excel, Microsoft access, Tableau, SQL servers and other data bases. (required)
    • Experience leading or training others in the use of data systems.
    • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and/or working with cross functional teams.
    • Experience with or a willingness to learn about the data needs of school systems.
