Description
The Automation Analyst, Level 2 helps to define functional requirements to build the Company's systems and products with a focus on product development and curriculum delivery. This position requires the incumbent to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the business needs of the project stakeholders, including internal customers and end users, and is involved throughout the business solution development lifecycle. Upon establishing the requirements baseline, the focus shifts towards verifying the fulfillment of all requirements and communicating changes in accordance with the project change control process.

• Understands and articulates the business vision, problem definition and opportunity by documenting business requirements, use cases and functional and non-functional requirements;
• Performs interviews of project stakeholders and translates this information in to manageable and executable requirements;
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary management team in prioritizing functional requirements and developing a phased-development approach with the project team;
• Communicates with colleagues and the Program Director(s) to ensure product remains true to State d goals of functional requirements throughout development of product;
• Manages product requirements using standard traceability and change control methods;
• Provides central coordination for all business and infrastructure requirements for Product Development initiatives as a critical member of the Product Development Program Management Office (PMO);
• Works across Product Development to establish thorough requirements for systems/product;
• Ensures requirements are documented, traceable and testable through to implementation;
• Interfaces directly with internal (Product Development) and external (throughout the Company) stakeholders to ensure that requirements are accurately articulated;
• Facilitates the coordination and implementation of ideas and activities between the Product Development and Systems & Technology organizations to ensure positive cooperation in a dynamic matrix environment;
• Works independently on behalf of multiple management areas to prioritize work and establish deadlines and milestones;
• Resolves issues and conflicts as they arise.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities Requirements • Bachelor's degree
• Four (4) years of experience in business analysis or a related field

• Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
• Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say
• Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, translate up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
• Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops
• Observation skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation
• Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff
• Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information
• Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering)
• Project management skills to help organize, lead, and implement solutions
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to pass required background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
• Experience with web-based applications
