West Hartford Public Schools seeks an experienced highly motivated individual for a full time Information Technology Specialist position serving multiple schools. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: technical support of school computers and networks; hardware and software support for networked and stand-alone computers; work with students and staff on software and hardware use, training and support in schools.

Requirements for this position include experience and skills in the following areas: knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and software; minimum two year's experience providing technical and software support preferably in an educational setting; interpersonal skills and an ability to work easily with others with less technical background; familiarity with network and Internet applications; knowledge of standard office automation software; ability to present technology applications to small groups.

Preferred, but not required: industry certification in A+ or Net+.

Starting salary range is $55,210 to $80,063. Full benefits package. This is a 12-month position. A valid motor vehicle license is required as regular travel between schools is necessary.
