About this role...

As a Professional Learning Consultant Lead, you will report to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and be responsible for leading and managing the partner-facing complex district/state delivery teams of NWEA P rofessional L earning. You will work closely with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and other decision-makers across the organization, in the creation, development, and deploym ent of professional learning strategies and tactical plans that further the mission of NWEA. In addition, you will foster a team environment that is conducive to promoting high quality professional learning and growth for all NWE A Professional Learning Services team members and independent contract facilitators. The Professional Learning team is dedicated to facilitating learning experiences that enhance individual knowledge and build organizational capacity to improve student learning. For this role located at our client site, we are seeking candidates who reside in Lincoln, NE.

Your next challenge...

  • Manage day-to-day workflow of the Complex District/State teams; monitor and adjust work efforts to ensure quality performance and deadlines are consistently met
  • For assigned projects and sustaining work, ensure timely communication of updates, monitor and manage work flow and communicate potential and actual problems on a regular basis
  • Coordinate and maintain work effort estimates for time tracking and capacity planning on assigned projects and sustaining work
  • Act as liaison with Partner Accounts to ensure that Professional Learning is represented appropriately in all partner-facing interactions
  • Strive to keep the partner-facing delivery team informed and updated on all relevant updates, revisions, and changes to NWEA products and services
  • Provide leadership and mentoring of staff, while staying abreast of the details of all local district/state PL projects and initiatives
  • May requi re leading, managing and coordination of team members with work efforts, sustaining work, assigned projects, and development of metrics for completed work
  • May require managing the recruitment, hiring, and coaching of direct reports including evaluation of the annual performance of each direct report based on project and sustaining work, and goal attainment
  • Collaborate with other members of the Curriculum and Instruction team and others in the organization to find resolutions and move work forward; ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
  • Monitor delivery feedback and evaluative data to identify areas of continuous improvement in the delivery process
  • Provide input into the development of P rofessional Learning business model rega rding effective and efficient Professional Learning delivery
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in Professional Learning delivery; collaborate with other members of the Curriculum and Instruction team to i ntegrate best practices, including digital online learning, and adult learning standards into all delivery methods
  • Represent the Professional Learning team in district/state meetings and efforts related to assigned projects or sustaining work as requested
  • Travel up to 25% or as required

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent combinations of bachelor's degree and 10 years' experience will be considered in lieu of Master's degree
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in K-12 education with deep understanding of K-12 school systems
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading cross-functional teams is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience working in Professional Learning field is preferred
