We are hiring a Substitute - PRN Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year (2019-2020) in Houston, TX 77004
As a Substitute Special Education Teacher for Futures Education, you will be providing school-based educational services to children in the Houston area, and have the additional support of the therapist-owned and operated management team at Futures Education.
As a member of our team, the Substitute Special Education Teacher will have an opportunity to work hands-on to help improve the lives of children. The Substitute Special Education Teacher will work individually with the student to help achieve favorable outcomes. Ideal candidates will have strong background in developing and overseeing the special education program to ensure that all students have the resources and supports in place to meet the goals set in their individual education plans (IEPs).

- Per Diem subbing
- May 2020
- 20 hours a week
- including the week of STAAR testing
Substitute Special Education Teacher (SPED) Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master's in SPED or SPED Endorsement
- Texas Special Educators License
- Related fieldwork experience preferred:
- Working in Middle School/High School setting
- Title 1 schools
- Cultural responsiveness
- Behavior experience
