POSITION: Secial Education Teacher
LOCATION: Laramie Middle School
SALARY: $44,460 minimum; final salary depends upon education and experience
CONTRACT: 185-day contract
START DATE: August 2019
CLOSING DATE: March 29, 2019

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with a Special Education certification or an endorsement as an Exceptional Generalist.

Other desired qualifications include: Commitment to student learning and academic excellence; knowledge of effective instructional practices which emphasize active student engagement, participation, and thinking; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to build cross-curricular teams and engaging educational experiences for students; ability to work and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents; strong content and pedagogical knowledge base; strong classroom management skills; ability to implement state standards and benchmarks; enthusiastic; excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of technology and its uses for promoting student learning; and willingness to participate on school and district committees and in required in-service activities. Desired candidate will have knowledge and experience working as part of a professional learning community.
