POSITION: Science Teachers (Life Science and/or Physical Science and/or Earth Science)
LOCATION: Laramie Middle School
SALARY: $44,460 minimum; final salary depends upon education and experience
CONTRACT: 185-day contract
START DATE: August 2019
CLOSING DATE: March 22, 2019

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with an endorsement in Biology/Life Science and/or Earth/Space Science and/or Physical Science.

Other desired qualifications include: Commitment to student learning and academic excellence; knowledge of effective instructional practices which emphasize active student engagement, participation, and thinking; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to build cross-curricular teams and engaging educational experiences for students; ability to work and build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents; strong content and pedagogical knowledge base; strong classroom management skills; ability to implement state standards and benchmarks; enthusiastic; excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of technology and its uses for promoting student learning; and willingness to participate on school and district committees and in required in-service activities. Desired candidate will have experience working as part of a student-centered professional learning community.
