    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    *Possess a valid Colorado Teacher License with appropriate endorsement in the area you are teaching or obtain one prior to start.
    *Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired
    *Be up to date on current learning theory in mathematics and state of the art pedagogy and andragogy
    *Have knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of personalized competency based educational approaches in mathematics
    *Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal relationships with students, teachers, staff members, principals and administrators
    *Have experience of facilitating or leading professional development for adult learners
    *Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
    *Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    *Coaching is non-evaluative, learning relationship between an instructional coach and a teacher with the goal of learning together, thereby improving instruction and student achievement
    *Display thorough knowledge of the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in Mathematics (pK12 desired), the District's prescribed Proficiency Scales, curricular & assessment resources and their relationship to the Westminster Learning Model
    *Work with individual teachers in developing lesson plans that are highly interactive and engaging for students in a learner-centered classroom
    *Model mathematics lessons to individuals, teacher teams or the entire staff, as appropriate
    *Observe classroom mathematics teaching and co-teach lessons with teachers, as appropriate
    *Conduct collaborative conversations with teachers (conferences) and facilitate mutual problem solving to assist teachers in implementing and mastering new competency based teaching practices in mathematics
    *Implement other District approved instructional coaching strategies, as appropriate, e.g. Kagan Structures, Sheltered Instruction, etc.
    *Work with the New Teacher Induction (NTI) program to orient and mentor the new teachers in mathematical instructional strategies in a competency based system
    *Meet regularly with school principals to coordinate instructional activities related to the school's unified improvement plan (UIP)
    *Assist principals in creating a calendar for school wide mathematics professional development (PD) that is directly related to the goals of the school's unified improvement plan
    *Coordinate activities and scheduling of school and district trained staff in targeted PD such as (but not limited to) the integration of The New Art and Science of Teaching, instructional technology, Sheltered Instruction, and differentiated instruction.
    *Work with the Learning Services Team to develop, maintain, and revise curriculum documents based on systematic review and analysis
    *Fulfill contractual and professional responsibilities
