Internship Goals and Deliverables
Build Assessments in Illuminate - Illuminate is the education software platform we use to create and deliver assessments taken by students across the KIPP network. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn a well-known education platform and contribute to great student testing experience through creating high quality assessments.
Support Data Collection projects - collection of data is critical to ensure we have the most current data in our database. This will allow us to identify contacts for specific projects, pull accurate information for reporting purposes, and make better organizational decisions based on data. Some example projects are staff data/contact collection drive, school information updates, state test collection, survey administration, and financial aid data drive.
Data Quality Assurance on assessment data - most of the work here is to ensure the assessment data we collect and load in our databases are accurate and properly shows up in internal reports.
Support Data Retreat and KIPP School Summit preparation - the Data Retreat is an annual event for KIPP Network data leaders to gather and learn what's up and coming in regards Foundation led projects and products. The KIPP School Summit (KSS) is an annual gathering of the entire KIPP Team and Family to connect, learn, and share from across the country. Both events are a wonderful opportunity to connect with leaders and alumni within the KIPP Network! Fun!
Organize existing documentation and improve documentation of existing processes - this mainly revolves around our team's internal resource page. There are opportunities to better structure how files are organized for easier access. Also, there are some processes that could be updated or in need to be documented.
