QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Special Education certification. Knowledgeable in Sign Language. Knowledgeable in Assistive Technology for Students with Hearing Impairments (i.e. FM Systems).

Program Dates: July 8 - August 2, 2019

Location: 2019 PROGRAM AT KENMORE MIDDLE SCHOOL, WASHINGTON-LEE HIGH SCHOOL, THE STRATFORD PROGRAM AND ABINGDON, BARRETT, CARLIN SPRINGS, HOFFMAN-BOSTON AND TAYLOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to work with hearing impaired students. Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues. Flexible, dependable, and highly organized. Excellent interpersonal skills.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience teaching elementary students. Experience teaching deaf and hard of hearing students.

SALARY:
APS Employees providing services during the summer program who are APS employees during the regular school year will be paid their Non-VRS equivalant hourly rate. Retired APS teachers will be paid $47.73 per hour per APS pay plan.
