Applicants must have a degree in a relevant subject, a teaching qualification, experience of classroom teaching, and provide evidence of specialised training in EAL. TESOL/TEFL Teachers (or similar) who have no experience of teaching in a regular classroom need not apply. Applicants with 4 years" experience, some of which is international, would be preferred. They seek teachers who have a positive outlook, who are creative problem-solvers, have a sense of humour, a practical, hands-on approach, cultural sensitivity and who are team players able to win the trust and cooperation of students, staff and parents.

The school offer very good pay and conditions and a two year (renewable) contract.

This international school opened in 2005 with just a handful of students but has grown to now be home to 380+ pupils from 48 different nationalities. There are Western and Chinese co-teachers in each Early Years and Primary classrooms so the teacher to student ratio is low (class sizes are capped appropriately) and students are motivated, respectful and eager to learn. They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum of England, followed by the Cambridge Primary Curriculum and the Cambridge Secondary Curriculum, leading to IGCSE examinations and A Levels. It is a Cambridge Approved School. An extra curricular activities programme compliments the academic instruction and includes Science, Sport and Music Clubs. There is a friendly and collaborative teaching team, supportive and effective Leadership plus a School Advisory Council and Parent/Teacher Association.

The school recently moved to an attractive, brand new campus in the High Tech Zone of the city. There are Smart Boards in all classrooms and gym facilities for Teachers. The school has pleasant surroundings with waterways , parks and busy markets as well as easy access to many other parts of the region. Shanghai is about 2 hours by fast train. The air in Ningbo is cleaner than in many other cities and is much better than it is in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Ningbo enjoys four seasons … very warm in the summer; cold in winter.
