TITLE: EAGLE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:

Eagle Valley High school is seeking a qualified school administrator to join the leadership team. All applicants with school leadership experience may be considered for the role. This includes those that are seeking to support the principal, teachers and students in any way feasible that will promote the school and District goals toward education of students and provide a safe environment and physical plant for all to work in.

SUPERVISED BY: Principal

SUPERVISES: Secretaries, Lead Custodian, Custodians, Coaches, Teachers assigned by
principal for evaluation/observation, Dean of Students.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $77,037/yr - $92,444/yr

POSITION SALARY RANGE: $77,037/yr - $107,852/yr

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
1. Serve as school/community communication liaison.

2. Supervise students and activities of designated student groups, including
administration of budget, rules, eligibility, etc.

3. Supervise students and administer school and district attendance and discipline
policies.

4. Observe and evaluate teachers and support staff as assigned by the principal.

5. Facilitate Special Education and Child Study staffings, appeals, hearings, etc.

6. Identify, submit and follow up maintenance requests specific to facility safety and
upkeep.

7. Authorize leave requests, purchase orders, substitute authorizations, disbursements
and facility use agreements.

8. Supervise activities at school conducted by school and community groups.

9. Coordinate and schedule day-to-day procedures and facility use.

10. Attend most home events and some away activities to assist with supervision.

11. Supervise and evaluate staff.

12. Act as the liaison between the district and school resource officers.

13. Serve as an instructional leader for all departments.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.

15. Analyze, process, manage, and disseminate student data from a variety of sources.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MA degree in Education or related field.
2. Possess or be eligible for a Colorado Type D Certificate or Principal License.
3. Relevant prior experience, including 3 years of successful teaching experience.
4. Demonstrated effective problem solving skills
5. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, models of instruction.
6. Knowledge of Special Education and Second Language Acquisition regulations and
strategies for services.
7. Coaching experience and knowledge of CHSAA regulations, if applicable.
