AVID Care Customer Service Specialist

AVID® (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a nonprofit, proven college-readiness system that closes the achievement gap by accelerating all students’ improvement in academic performance. Today, AVID partners with more than 1,100 school districts and is implemented in approximately 6,400 schools in 47 states across the U.S., plus schools in DoDEA, Canada, and Australia.

AVID is looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, technology-savvy customer service professional to join our team as an AVID Care Customer Service Specialist. This role provides customer service support to both external partners and internal staff via email and phone. Ideal candidates are excellent problem-solvers with great written and oral communication skills who are motivated, organized, and passionate about helping others. In addition to a strong background in customer service support, candidates should feel comfortable driving the day-to-day operation and troubleshooting to provide sound solutions to technical issues that require support.

What we are looking for in the role of AVID Care Customer Service Specialist:

  • Customer service professionals who go above and beyond to put the customer’s needs first to create an amazing customer experience
  • Experience with customer service in a wide range of industries, such as hospitality, food service/retail, call center environments, hotel management, etc.
  • Owns change management and is adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Good listener, empathetic, and patient
  • Strong documentation skills and an ability to problem-solve when unique problems arise
  • Experience using Salesforce and Talk Desk (or another CTI) are a big plus!
  • Experience with different forms of customer service and communication platforms, such as phone, email, video, chat, and text
