Job Description
JOB GOAL
The Data Assessment Specialist will use their strong understanding of school data and metrics to ensure that the District's strategic goals and objectives are met. The Data Assessment Specialist will oversee projects from development to completion that support the District's goals and objectives. This role serves as a Central Office resource to both District and Building based administration in regards to data, assessment and metrics related to student growth and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Office of Instruction to define and execute testing calendar and policies. Coordinate data collections for NBPS
- Manage implementation and administration of all state and local common assessments.
- Manage interim assessment procedures, analyze data, and support school leaders in identifying areas for improvement; gather and disseminate best practices from schools and external resources in the areas of benchmark and unit assessment data.
- Work with school and district leadership to identify key metrics to monitor district, school and student progress to allow for informed decision making.
- In coordination with District administration, develop, manage and report on staff, student and community surveys.
- Manages and oversees projects related to strategic goals and objectives. Conduct statistical analysis of student achievement data and school information and maintain data warehouse of all student assessment scores (local, state, others as identified).
- Manage the development and design of data dashboards and other regular reports or analysis that answer questions for key stakeholders, provide insight on student, school and district performance trends and patterns; and informs discussions and strategic decisions at the district and school level (e.g.: aggregate and subgroup trends.
- In collaboration with Superintendent, Office of Instruction and Community and Public Relations Manager create a "public package" of achievement and other student-level data and provide a clear understanding of what the data means to critical audiences (School Committee, families and community, foundations, etc.).
- Assess and recommend data software solutions, evaluate implementation of systems, technologies and business practices related to data management. Prepare and administer reports to comply with federal and state requirements. Champion key findings from analysis and develop implementation models for district and school leaders to act upon data results.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Education
5+ years' experience in working with data, assessments
5+ years' experience with Project Management
Ability to provide technical expertise as it relates to District and or school based data
Strong organization skills
Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work Day: Full Time
Work Year: 11 Months
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
