The Senior Manager, School Operations partners with the Head of School to develop and maintain relationships with the board, State and authorizer by ensuring integrity and compliance at all levels, internal and external to the K12 organization.
AS A Senior Manager, School Operations, YOU WILL..
  • In collaboration with the Head of School, develop and manage relationships with board members, State and other education stakeholders; Manage relationships with vendors and property managers;
  • Work with administrative staff to ensure the school is in compliance with and meets all audit requirements; Stay abreast of changes to rules and regulations impacting operation of the school;
  • Manage the development and implementation of school policies and procedures, e.g. assist with the Company's efforts nationally to develop policies and procedures, training standards and curriculum enhancements; Provide professional development to staff on policies, procedures and systems;
  • Act as point-of-contact and manages reporting issues including all local, K12, State , and federal reporting requirements and deadlines;
  • Project manage major school events, such as Semester End Transition, and Year End Transition; Oversee State Testing logistics and system access for employees;
  • Manage school system timelines, create classrooms and ensure students have access to classrooms and the correct number of courses;
  • Oversee management of Student Information System; Oversee and help maintain student records and data; Create/implement/document processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;
  • Oversee communication between the Company, school leadership team, students and families and districts related to student enrollments, registrations, withdrawals and end-of-year reclamation efforts;
  • Serve as board minutes clerk; Assist Head of School with board meeting preparation and reporting;
  • Be a member of the school leadership team.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 5-7 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors, such as Assistant Operations Manager, Compliance Coordinator, Testing Manager and Data/Accountability Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Five (5) years of relevant professional experience including 2 years of supervisory experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.
Other Required Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong technology skills including but not limited to high level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience doing online research projects; and experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • School management experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to pass required background check
