We’re a group that is driven by our mission and the growth of AVID Center. We’ve been building and enhancing our critical business systems, tools, and processes to empower our organization to have a greater impact. Our organization is driven by data, and this role represents that commitment. You’ll frequently work with our Data, Research, and Business Services teams, amongst others, to help find, create, integrate, report, and analyze the necessary datasets.

Who you are:

Someone who is a self-starter and able to be handed a concept, take the idea, and come up with a design/solution that will not only meet the needs today, but also into the future. You’ll have over five years of experience with data collection, storage, integration, management, and the suite of tools to both execute and sustain this. You will have experience with SQL, and ideally Azure Data Factory, Salesforce, Power BI, and a background in the education space. You are excited to help develop our data warehouse and other data systems/integrations to help lay the foundation for years to come. You are driven, solution-oriented, and a highly skilled communicator, can work and think cross-functionally, have a passion for improvement, and are excited to be a part of a mission-driven organization.

More of what we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math, or related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in data/BI architecture and design
  • Ability to effectively collaborate closely with other BI/data developers, data/research analysts, strategy, and IT teams and personnel
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence and analytics solution design and delivery
  • Experience with emerging technologies, like machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Experience with technologies/platforms, like Azure PaaS/IaaS, Power BI, SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Salesforce, APIs, and big data
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills, including ETL/ETL
  • Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high volume, high dimensionality data from varying sources
