Microsoft Office Instructor
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in secondary or elementary education, or higher from an accredited college or university
Certification: Computer/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Educ Media, Library/Media, Industrial Technology 7-12, Technology Education, Integrated Business or Business Information Systems
Reports to: Building Principal
Training & Experience: Comfort with Technology and Microsoft Office Suite. Applicable Teaching Licensure
Essential Functions / Skills:
Prepare students for Microsoft Office credentialing exams.
Incorporate project-based resources to deliver Microsoft Office instruction.
Proctor Microsoft Office credentialing exams for students and maintain secure testing environment.
Build excitement and culture of investment in the importance of credentials.
Work with teachers & students to achieve outstanding results.
Perform other duties as assigned

- Commitment to helping ALL students to succeed; with an emphasis on diverse socioeconomic levels, racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Willingness to spend the time needed to effectively meet the challenges, objectives, and mission of the CPS district
- Ability to be professional, collaborative, and dedicated to the idea of credentialing middle school students
- Oversees and maintains a positive academic atmosphere conducive to learning and the safety of students
- Implements instructional program, and maintains a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful and productive learning experiences
- Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
- Establishes a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
- Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment
- Accepts responsibility for meeting his/her course and school wide student performance goals
- Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, and honoring schedules
- Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas
- Maintains license requirements and professional competence through in-service educational activities
- Meets regular attendance requirements at all times
