The State of NC requires that teachers work 120 days to receive actual credit towards their teaching credentials. For all Instructional positions hired AFTER December 5, 2018, the position will end as of June 12, 2019.

Bachelor's Degree in education with appropriate subject area. Must have North Carolina certification or credentials to attain NC certification. Lead K-5 Literacy by pre-planning with grade level content leads, designing and delivering weekly professional development, lead weekly planning sessions and data meetings, coach K-5 teachers in literacy instructional practices and host parent events to support literacy interaction at home.

Coordinate and organize quarterly assessments by creating spreadsheets, conducting grade level data analysis meetings and analyzing data trends.

Attend monthly CMS Literacy Facilitator meetings and communicate literacy expectations and updates to staff regularly.

Participate on MTSS Leadership Team and serve as MTSS content expert.

Assist Testing Coordinator with MClass testing and Read to Achieve communication.

Literacy Background - candidate must possess a strong literacy background with a masters in literacy preferred. Candidate should possess formal data (EVAAS) that shows multiple years of exceeded growth.
Team Oriented - candidate must understand that the title is not the only part of the job. This role requires a candidate to wear many hats and be a strong project manager.
