SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

POSITION START DATE: JULY 1, 2019

The Board of Education of the Franklin Square UFSD is seeking an outstanding educational leader who possesses a knowledge of curriculum, instruction, special education, and school finance to lead our K-6 (approximately 2,000 students housed in three buildings) school district

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience as a central office administrator, building administrator, and a teacher, as well as hold New York State School District Administrator (SDA) certification.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the ability to:

  • formulate and articulate a clear vision and mission for the district;
  • act as an agent of change who can establish a positive school culture and lead in a collaborative manner;
  • communicate effectively while possessing excellent interpersonal skills; and
  • work effectively with the Board of Education, staff, parents, and the educational community. 

Salary & benefits are competitive for the Long Island region.
