    Social Studies Curriculum Manager, K-12

    This position will report to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Master's Degree in the specific content area. Must possess or be willing to pursue a State of Ohio Administrative Certificate.

    Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience within K-12. Must have experience with curriculum development; knowledge of state and national standards; and knowledge of professional development models. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate shall possess the ability to:
    • Develop and evaluate curriculum and instruction
    • Manage the selecting, integrating and evaluating of instructional materials
    • Establish relationships with national and state organizations
    • Seek grant funding to support and maintain curriculum development
    • Analyze district academic data to inform curriculum decision-making
    • Facilitate the annual review of content standards and model curricula
    • Recommend professional development opportunities based on data and research-based best practices
    • Collaborate with the Mayerson Academy on professional development implementation
    • Manage the curriculum budgets
    • Review instructional materials and curricular programs introduced by external vendors and resource providers
    • Collaborate with the Curriculum Councils to ensure curriculum is available and modified on an annual basis
    • Attend monthly Interdisciplinary Curriculum Council meetings
    • Seek materials and human resources to support curriculum development and implementation
    • Disseminate information regarding curriculum, national standards and the Ohio Department of Education standards
    • Manage multiple projects: budgets, resources and timelines for completion
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS
    Type of Contract: Limited-261 day
    Salary: Manager - Per CAAS Agreement
