   License and Certification Qualifications: None required.

Education Qualifications: Associate's degree in related field required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Two years of experience in an application software environment analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting application software required. Experience with Software Development Life Cycle preferred. Server Administration, desktop support, and/or Student Information System experience preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to understand the technical needs of teaching and learning and the business support functions; ability to analyze, design, develop, and implement mission critical software solutions; ability to translate logic to solve application and operating system problems; ability to communicate effectively with business and technical staff and to work well with others; and ability to manage assigned projects.

Primary Responsibilities: Analyzing business needs by designing, developing, testing, and implementing application software systems and operating platform solutions as well as providing application training to system users.

1. Provide technical support and training on a variety of applications to schools and technology staff.
2. Collaborate and communicate with vendors and schools to identify and resolve technical issues with systems including, but not limited to, Student Information Systems , Tardy Systems , Online Registration and Special Programs .
3. Troubleshoot data issues within Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts, stored procedures, and functions.
4. Create reports using Microsoft SQL queries in either SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Cognos, Crystal reports or Siren.
5. Analyze and optimize performance of T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
6. Create, update and support SQL stored procedures with knowledge of SQL agents.
7. Design and understand data models, demonstrating an understanding of database design concepts.
8. Provide level 3 technical support, researching and resolving complex software issues.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
