Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Assistant Principal of Holland Elementary School and Ocean Lakes Elementary School.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for assisting the school principal in the leadership, coordination, supervision and
management of the school program and operation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in the administration and supervision of all
programs in a school; skill in oral and written communications; ability to motivate others to reach their fullest
potential; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, students,
teachers, support staff and associates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master's Degree in education administration, considerable years of teaching experience and an endorsement in
Administration and Supervision, Prek-12 required.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

2018-2019 Unified Experience-Based Step Pay Scale - Grade 20. The selected candidate's salary will be based on the individual's verified years of creditable experience.
