  • Adams County School Dist. #14 is seeking an outstanding principal who will provide continued leadership to the successful implementation of a standards-based instructional program, working in coordination with other building principals, district directors, instructional programs and policies critical to success.

    All District Administrators must be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of our students, the largest portions of which are Hispanic and must display the highest integrity and strongest commitment to students, professional ideals and ethical standards in pursuit of educational excellence.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Must possess or must obtain prior to the first day of work an active Colorado Principal License.
    Must have a background in teaching.
    Desire the ability to speak Spanish.

    EXPERIENCE:
    Prefer previous administrative experience.
    Must have experience in research-based instructional strategies that support all student populations (including special ed. and bilingual education).
    Must have experience with standards-based education.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Articulate a sense of vision and mission for the school and community consistent with the district's mission and focus.
    • Promote elements of a professional learning community within the school.
    • Demonstrate instructional leadership, assuring that resources are utilized to maximize standards-based instruction for all students and enforcing district standards.
    • Demonstrates the ability to use data to drive school-wide instructional decisions.
    • Develop educational interventions to improve student performance.
    • Demonstrate communication and human relationship skills to develop an open, trusting relationship among faculty, students and community members.
    • Facilitate collaborative decision-making with staff and community.
    • Ensure well-articulated programs for student discipline and attendance.
    • Evaluate and supervise certificated and classified employees in accordance with board policy and procedures.
    • Demonstrate administrative characteristics that initiate, facilitate and promote organizational effectiveness.
    • Promote and support the professional growth and development of certificated and classified staff.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and promote effective parental involvement to improve student achievement.
