The ISPA Human Resources Coordinator provides both direct and indirect services to support Insight PA Cyber Charter School (ISPA) in the areas of hiring, employee file development and management, background check processing and tracking, certification tracking, and benefits coordination

  • Responds to employee, manager, and HR team requests and escalates issues as necessary;
  • Helps facilitate full life cycle coordination of onboarding and off-boarding functions for all employees;
  • Creates, maintains, and audits employee files ensuring compliance with State and federal laws;
  • Processes and tracks Pennsylvania Department of Education required backgrounds;
  • Maintains accurate certification information in Teacher Compliance Database and tracks timelines for certification renewal;
  • Provides information on benefits and enrollment programs;
  • Responds to employee questions regarding benefits and PTO;
  • Assists in initiating LOA/FMLA leaves, tracks leaves, and coordinates with Finance business partner;
  • Processes changes and terminations to benefits in the HRIS system; communicates all new hires and terminations to finance and outside vendor;
  • Audits system to ensure changes are captured;
  • Assists in coordinating and planning benefit renewals, open enrollment, and new hire enrollment into the Information Systems;
  • Coordinates termination of benefits and enrollment of COBRA for all employees; processes all COBRA entries in the HRIS;
  • Verifies all monthly premium State ments and reconciles these State ments in collaboration with ISPA Finance Manager;
  • Assists in reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts in collaboration with ISPA Finance Manager;
  • Assists in analyzing employee utilization of current benefits and provides recommendations for management;
  • Acts as liaison between Administrative team and Talent Management to streamline interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study AND
  • Two years of Human Resources Experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time
  • Ability to pass Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Ability to pass Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to pass Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
  • Ability to pass required background check

  • This is a remote (home-based) position that may occasionally require travel to the ISPA office in Exton, Pennsylvania
