Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing Alternative Education, is recruiting for Long Term Substitutes to teach High School Math and/or Science at Rubino Academy in Ewing, NJ.

Camelot Education is a nationally recognized organization providing educational services to children and adolescents throughout the United States. Camelot has 30 campuses located in six states and is continuing to grow. Camelot provides Alternative Education services to inner city schools for children who have dropped out of school, been expelled or at risk for either.

The Rubino Academy (a division of Camelot Education in Ewing, NJ) is a Program of the Mercer County Technical Schools and has been serving the students of Mercer County as an Alternative High School since 1996. The Thomas J. Rubino Academy exists to serve the unique academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of students who were unable to achieve success in the traditional school environment. The staff of Thomas J Rubino Academy is committed to creating and maintaining a structured, trusting, and caring environment where teaching and learning are exciting and students are assisted as they develop responsibility. All aspects of the school's organization, curriculum, model and activities are designed to accommodate individual learning styles so that all may experience success.

Our Teachers are responsible for designing and providing instruction in accordance with curriculum planning and timing guidelines. Teachers also conduct frequent and appropriate assessments to determine student understanding. Works well with other instructional staff, support staff and administration with a focus on producing favorable academic outcomes and a positive school climate.

Experience and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
* Current New Jersey Teacher Certification preferred
* One year experience working with at-risk youth preferred
* Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory skills preferred
