We are seeking a Teacher Recruitment Manager to oversee and support the talent selection activities and processes for all HCZ Promise Academy Charter School teaching and select non-instructional staff. In this newly created role, the Teacher Recruitment Manager will work closely with HR, internal selection committees, Principals, and the Superintendent to implement, refine and execute a rigorous, well-coordinated recruitment and screening process that ensures HCZ Promise Academy consistently selects the highest caliber teachers and support staff. The successful candidate will have a successful track record in high volume, full life cycle recruitment environments, and experience developing and improving talent selection processes and systems (i.e., sourcing, screening, selection, and on-boarding) across several stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for teachers, ensuring all selected candidates are properly assessed and evaluated throughout each phase of screening process
  • Develop and maintain system of disseminating resumes, coordinating interviews, and gathering/sharing candidate assessments and interview feedback with internal selection committees and other stakeholders
  • Identify talent sources and sourcing strategies (e.g., colleges, graduate schools, recruitment events, online job boards, social media, and professional networks) and execute targeted outreach to attract qualified candidates
  • Screen candidates for critical, high-need roles as needed, and provide feedback and recommendations to internal selection committees
  • Track open positions, and define and monitor relevant recruitment metrics that inform the design of strategies to meet and exceed recruitment goals
  • Ensure timely and effective communications to keep candidates, Principals and other stakeholders updated on status of the recruitment process
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to manage job offers, including salary negotiations and reference checks, and ensure all new hires are appropriately on-boarded and are fully informed of, and introduced to, HCZPA's organizational culture, policies and benefits
  • Conduct regular industry research and remain knowledgeable about the education field's talent landscape to refine recruitment processes and implement best practices
  • Build high quality productive relationships with internal stakeholders and develop meaningful external partnerships that strengthen HCZPA's candidate pipeline and advances the longer term recruitment strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
  • A commitment to the mission and programs of HCZ
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume, full life cycle recruitment environment
  • Experience working as teacher or administrator in a K-12 school setting and/or experience in K-12 talent recruitment in the New York area are huge pluses
  • Must be highly organized and possess superior attention to details
  • Strategic thinker with excellent time-management and follow-up skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Familiar with issues in education prevalent in underserved urban communities of color
