  • Experience adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individualized needs.


  • Available to work the week prior to the start of summer school, no exceptions.



JOB DESCRIPTION:
ORIENTATION: JULY 3, 2019


Program Dates: July 8, - August 2, 2019

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the elementary Pre-K summer school program in a variety of ways including: teaching and modeling lessons, setting up and closing classes, placing students in classes, assigning teachers and assistants.


  • Provide professional learning opportunities.


  • Provide ongoing program support to teachers.


  • Provide input for ordering materials and maintain materials inventory; distribute materials.


  • Work in conjunction with the Summer School Principals, Summer School Coordinators and school staff.


  • Provide special education teachers with IEP information.



EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience working in summer school.


  • Experience implementing IEPs.


  • Experience adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individualized needs.

SALARY:
Summer School teachers who are APS employees during the year will be paid the Non-VRS equivalant rate.Retired APS teachers will be paid $47.73 per hour per APS pay plan. Non-APS licensed summer school teachers will be paid $32.50 per hour.
