Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equal to a master's degree in Construction Management plus seven years of progressively more responsible experience in school construction, phased occupied renovations, property management, procurement and contracting, architectural design, facility modification, the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), and development of capital improvement plans, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Can demonstrate broad knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and theories of modern management and trends related to Design & Construction; knowledge of the methods, materials, procedures, and practices of the specialties in the Office of Design & Construction; ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources necessary to carry out the function and programs of the Office of Design & Construction; ability to supervise and lead; ability to conduct complex administrative studies; capacity to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with personnel assigned to schools, other departments, public entities, and citizens; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
