The Data, Instruction & Assessment Administrator works as a member of the school's leadership team to systematically collect, compile, and interpret educational data related to student performance in alignment with the school's improvement plans and WA LAP program guidelines. The Director of Data, Instruction & Assessment assists the leadership team in identifying and measuring improvement strategies based on available student data, identifies trends in student achievement and predicts future outcomes based on potential improvement strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises 5-7 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   • Functions as part of the school's leadership team to identify and track key data for school improvement plans;
  • Communicates data interpretations verbally and in writing to appropriate stakeholders;
  • Function as the administrator overseeing the school's LAP Program, supervising LAP staff and assuring that the program complies with all WA LAP rules, requirements and guidelines;
  • Analyzes data to suggest and implement programmatic and instructional improvements;
  • Contributes to the school's continuous improvement by suggesting further questions, considerations, and research;
  • Measures the impact of school improvement strategies;
  • Assists Academic Administrators in the development, planning and delivery of teacher professional development;
  • Assists in interpreting school policies and regulations in testing and assessment to staff and public;
  • Partner with Academic Administrators and/or Head of School to plan, develop, implement, administer, and evaluate school assessment programs;
  • Maintains school calendar for testing, analyzing, and reporting test data.

Requirements
Minimum required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Master's degree in Business or Education AND
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing for effective interaction with parents, teachers and administration
  • Strong critical reading and writing skills in order to read and analyze reports, dis-aggregate data and write reports and memorandums
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge and proficiency in k12 platforms and systems
  • Ability to pass required background check
