RUTLAND INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

(GRADES 3-6)

Our upbeat, supportive, picturesque Vermont community seeks a dynamic, diligent, creative, student-oriented, experienced educator who will provide excellent leadership for the Rutland Intermediate School.  The school includes approximately 650 students in grade 3-6 and 60 professional staff.

Rutland Intermediate School is a learning community in a mode of constant improvement seeking to maximize data and formative information to drive instruction, professional development and collaboration.  A learning leader who can facilitate and focus the efforts of motivated and professional educators will be the successful candidate.   Professional initiatives include: co-teaching, teacher learning communities, data analysis and application, and ongoing literacy and mathematics collaboration.  School student learning goals include a focus on functions and algebra, science inquiry and word and vocabulary identification.

Applicants must demonstrate an impressive work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of current research and practice related to teaching and learning, proven experience in motivating colleagues as well as students to maximize their potential, and licensure, or eligibility for same, as a Vermont Principal.
