INNOVATION IN FULTON COUNTY SCHOOLS
Fulton County Schools is creating the ‘Bell Labs' of public education - a system for creating and disseminating instructional innovations. Our approach is in service of a future where students will direct and advance their learning in dynamic, supportive environments.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Our school will prepare graduates to design a better world by building the competencies articulated in our student outcomes. Georgia Tech is our curriculum design partner, ensuring that the work students do aligns to Georgia Standards of Excellence and college admissions requirements. The curriculum will integrate the content standards via a series of richly engaging projects that ask students to solve authentic problems via engineering and design thinking skills, as pioneered by Stanford's d.school.

Description:
The Principal is responsible for the instructional and organizational leadership of one of our K-12 schools. This role serves as the school's advocate and works with all stakeholders to create a common vision for the school that best positions the school for success and engages students and their community. The Principal also works with others to develop and execute a school improvement plan and allocates resources to continually improve student achievement. The Principal is also committed to building a talented team to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience of demonstrating progression of added responsibility in Education , Educational Administration or a related field required; Minimum 3 years supervising others required

Salary Information:
  • Step placement credit may be granted for up to a maximum of 7 years (Step 8) of prior verifiable experience. Salary placement with Fulton County Schools is non-negotiable. Actual salary placement will be based on Fulton County Board of Education experience calculations from the Non-Teaching Salary Schedule C-235, Principal/Assistant Scale, Step 1 - Step 8.
