The High School MTSS Coordinator reports to the Academic Director. This is a remote position, with possibility for 1-2 days in Exton, PA office each week based upon candidate's distance from office.
AS A High School MTSS Coordinator , YOU WILL..
  • Assist in creation of the MTSS Framework
  • Assist in implementing the MTSS Framework
  • Provide professional development to staff on research based best practices in the area of Mathematics
  • Monitor the staff's implementation of the MTSS Framework
  • Identify students to be served at each tier of the MTSS Framework and monitor student progress to adjust tier placement as appropriate
  • Maintain the MTSS Area of SharePoint to include the MTSS Framework, referrals forms, meeting forms, intervention resources for staff, and other necessary documents.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the staff about the MTSS Framework.
  • Collaborate on data collection and provide data analysis and tier recommendations for all students within the MTSS Framework.
  • Facilitate meaningful MTSS meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Serve as a resource for research-based interventions during MTSS meetings.
  • Stay current with PA MTSS regulations and recommendations and alert leadership of any notable changes.
  • Maintain organized and accurate student records.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Complete documentation daily, which includes meeting notes and phone logs.
  • Attend team meetings and school-wide meetings.
  • Provide and/or support student remediation as needed.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to develop individual academic plans.
  • Create and deliver Family Involvement Workshops as needed.
  • Provide instructional strategies to other members of the school when necessary.
  • Attend face-to-face events when necessary such as beginning and end of year events and PSSA testing.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning.
Requirements Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Education
  • Valid Pennsylvania Teaching certificate in either Secondary English or Mathematics
  • At least 3 years teaching experience
  • Experience implementing Research Based remediation techniques and intervention programs
  • Experience designing and implementing the MTSS process
  • State Police, Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
  • Proficient in all programs associated with Microsoft Office and Outlook; must be highly proficient with EXCEL and data mining protocols
