Edvectus recruits qualified/certified Primary, Elementary, Secondary, Middle and High School teachers from the following countries;

USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. Our jobs are not teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient teacher training.

Candidates should be a fully qualified Maths Teacher with a degree in Maths or a related field + PGCE (or documented equivalent with Qualified Teacher Status) as a minimum requirement. First-Language competence in English is required with a passion, combined with a robust knowledge and understanding of Maths and the ability to instil the same in students through active learning. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching experience at A Level or similar with evidence of excellent practice.

They also look for applicants who show evident passion for working with little learners, who have the ability to work as part of a close-knit, collaborative and innovative team, who have personal, professional and cultural flexibility and who have a demonstrable appetite for professional growth and development.

This is a day and boarding international school which opened in 2005 with just a handful of students but has grown to now be home to 240+ pupils from 50 different nationalities. There are Western and Chinese co-teachers in each Early Years and Primary classrooms so the teacher to student ratio is low (class sizes are capped appropriately) and students are motivated, respectful and eager to learn. They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage of the national Curriculum of England, followed by the Cambridge Primary Curriculum and the Cambridge Secondary Curriculum, leading to IGCSE examinations and A Levels. It is a Cambridge Approved School. Already a leader in international education in Zhejiang Province, the school now aspires to develop its Secondary Section and to become an internationally accredited institution. An extra curricular activities programme compliments the academic instruction and includes Science, Sport and Music Clubs. There is a friendly and collaborative teaching team, supportive and effective Leadership plus a School Advisory Council and Parent/Teacher Association.

The school recently moved to an attractive, brand new campus in the High Tech Zone of the city. There are Smart Boards in all classrooms and gym facilities for Teachers. The school has pleasant surroundings with waterways , parks and busy markets as well as easy access to many other parts of the region. Shanghai is about 2 hours by fast train. The air in Ningbo is cleaner than in many other cities and is much better than it is in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Ningbo enjoys four seasons … very warm in the summer; cold in winter.

Applicants must have a degree and formal teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), and at least 2 years of successful teaching experience. A TEFL qualification would be an advantage but is not required .The school also look for candidates who have a passion for teaching, are self-starters with initiative, flexible and adaptable, have a capacity to learn, are team-players ready to contribute and have an interest in China and Chinese culture.
