   License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia driver's license required.

Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Three years in an office/clerical environment required. Experience in purchasing or property management using an automated property inventory tracking system preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately; ability to be customer service oriented to internal personnel and external customers; ability to effectively present information to school system employees; ability to complete mathematical calculations and computer data entry with speed and accuracy; ability to write routine correspondence; ability to exercise independent judgment; ability to have effective and tactful public relations; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; and ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities: Assist with conducting on-site verification audits of property and other assets in all assigned Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) locations and providing general clerical support for the Purchasing and Property Management Department.

1. Plan and conduct inventory of GCPS property assets.
a. Prepare and update the GCPS property database for each assigned location.
b. Communicate inventory audit work plan to local schools and execute the verification plan at each local school or other GCPS location as assigned.
c. Review inventory results with school leadership as needed.
d. Prepare property inventory results reports for review by the Purchasing and Property Management Department personnel.
e. Advise on needed revisions of local school property management procedures to the Property Manager.
f. Perform interim property inventory work at new schools or other schools requiring special attention when warranted.
g. Assist in updating property software database, various logs, inventory control sheets, and other data as needed for documentation of individual school and department inventories.

2. Perform inventory administrative duties.
a. Prepare various reports, forms, responses, memos, and letters as assigned.
b. Organize and maintain files, including, but not limited to, office correspondence, confidential data, and property management inventory files.
c. Direct incoming mail and faxes to appropriate departmental personnel.
d. Ensure that correspondence or other documentation sent from the office conforms to standard GCPS policies and procedures.

3. Assist with the furniture replacement inventory process.
a. Conduct evaluation of furniture and equipment needed for replacement in GCPS locations.
b. Coordinate activities with office, school, and property warehouse personnel.

4. Assist in conducting inventories of and provisions for mobile classrooms as needed.
a. Conduct inventories of property assets in GCPS mobile classrooms.
b. Assist school district personnel as needed in provisioning of mobile classrooms.

5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move equipment up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
