An experienced KG Principal is needed in this unique, experimental school in Shenzhen China starting July 2019.

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. Our jobs are not teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient teacher training.

 

This 'small school' will be the front runner to the new, larger school opening in a years time. This school is the second international school from a well-known, successful 'A list' school based in New York which uses its own curriculum which is child centred, holistic, international and academic. 

 

The right candidate will have good experience of teaching early childhood age ranges (2-4 year olds) and will be comfortable working in this new experimental setting with support from the principal of the new school, and the parent school in New York. He/She will be confident in their teaching of Early Learners, understand the latest developments, be comfortable speaking with parents and will be flexible enough to work within the school's curriculum and philosophy.

 

The school prepares students for engaged global citizenship in the modern world, with an approach that combines language immersion, interdisciplinary learning, a global curriculum and a culture of creativity and deep collaboration. 

 

They seek a creative, globally minded early childhood educator to join the start-up team in Shenzhen. The Master Teacher will lead a play-based program for that fosters experiential learning through sensory, discovery, song and language activities. In addition to leading the first s Small World program in China, the Master Teacher will have the opportunity to be closely involved with the start-up student admissions of a highly innovative, top-tier global school that is strongly rooted in China and Chinese culture. 

 

Language Immersion 

Students in all schools in the group will graduate fluent in a second language and at ease beyond their borders. To this end, the Small World program immerses students in English as well as Mandarin, developing understanding and facility in their home and second languages.

? At least 3 years of early childhood teaching experience with a proven track record of student learning

? Deep dedication to learning and developing as an educator

? Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning

? Professional fluency in English or Mandarin Chinese; if Chinese fluent, proficient in English

? Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in early childhood education or related field is ideal
