Supervisor of Elementary Education
Harrison is seeking a visionary and experienced instructional leader to serve as the Supervisor of Elementary Education. This leadership position requires candidates to hold valid New York State certification in administration (SDA or SDL), certification as an elementary classroom teacher or related area, and at least seven years of successful teaching experience. Experience as an administrator, teacher leader, or professional developer strongly preferred.

The expertise and responsibilities required of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a shared vision of best practices related to the elementary instructional program, with particular emphasis on literacy and mathematics instruction aligned to the Common Core Learning Standards.
  • Supervising curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives for grades K‐5 across four elementary schools, in collaboration with elementary school principals.
  • Designing and delivering professional development to promote teacher growth and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Coordinating the efforts of elementary instructional coaches to provide targeted support to classroom teachers and lead professional development.
  • Observing and evaluating faculty and staff and promote professional growth and ensure high standards of accountable practice and program effectiveness.
  • Utilizing student performance data to track student progress and lead a continuous process of program evaluation and improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with a talented leadership team to support a commitment to equity and access for all students.

This leadership position includes a minimum starting salary of $136,314 (higher with leadership experience and/or doctorate), comprehensive benefits and extensive professional development.
