Job Details
The Specialized Services Program Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of Mastery Charter School's Specialized Services Team. The Specialized Services Program Manager serves as a liaison between Mastery Charter School's Network Support Team, School-based Specialized Service Teams, and outside providers. The Specialized Services Program Manager maintains clear communication, compliance, resources, and on-going support, as identified through special projects and needs of school teams.

For the quick synopsis: Mastery Charter Schools is a non-profit network of 25 schools serving more than 13,500 students in Philadelphia and Camden. Sixteen of our schools are turnarounds of previously struggling district neighborhood schools and charter schools. Mastery is the largest turnaround school operator in the nation and has been lauded by President Obama and the US Department of Education for our ability to dramatically boost academic achievement in historically low-performing schools.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing all NST Specialized Services Operations
Supervision of Approved Private School application process.
Supervision of 4010 Approved Private School Application Process (APSEM)
Liaison between School District of Philadelphia Charter School Office and Transportation Office
Liaison between Mastery Alternative Placement Programs and Approved Private Schools
Liaison between Related Service Providers
Organize agenda and resources for Mastery Specialized Services Professional Development / Trainings
Serve as Mastery Representative at city and state-wide Specialized Services Trainings
Managing communication and data systems between NST Specialized Service team and School based Specialized Service teams.
IEP File Audits
Check Request / Billing Process
Specialized Services Portal Maintenance
Specialized Services Mediation Document Support
Specialized Services Compliance Task Support
Providing leadership as a member of the NST Specialized Services team
Deliver Specialized Services updates via protocols and on-going communication platforms
Completing other identified tasks and special projects
Qualifications:
Strong Special Education Knowledge
Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical writing skills
Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills
Self-Starter and ability to work well independently and as a member of a school team
Able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
Ability to work through projects both high level and detail minded simultaneously
Results-oriented individual - a flexible thinker willing to do "whatever it takes."
Belief in the Mastery Charter School mission and instructional model
Has zest and a sense of humor
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required
Master's degree preferred
Experience as a Case Manager required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as traveling to network campuses and maneuvering in office space-reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; Must be able to sit for up to four (4) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard and mouse and typing.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel when necessary, preferred.
