Reporting to the chief operating officer, the network director of operations (NDO) co-manages Ascend's school directors of operations (DOOs) by supporting, coaching, and developing them for operational excellence. The NDO, in conjunction with the school services team and human resources, ensures that the schools capture and use operational data and meet internal and external goals and deadlines, connecting them to operational resources and technical support at the network office. In partnership with other members of the network team, the NDO will codify school operational practices and support the development and enhancement of data, procurement, and other operational systems. He or she develops and delivers professional development programs for new and existing DOOs and plans the annual summer institute for all school operational staff.

The network director of operations will:
