Wyoming City Schools is conducting a search for a new Superintendent. Wyoming City Schools serves approximately 2,000 children in the City of Wyoming, Ohio, a small residential community of 2.8 square miles, centrally located with easy access to downtown Cincinnati. This progressive community of 8,300 residents has long-valued and supported education at the highest level, passing every operating levy on the ballot since 1970. The community’s expectations are reflected in the commitment of the school district to provide an excellent education for each student through rigorous academic offerings, individual attention, an outstanding faculty and staff, strong music and art programs, and numerous extracurricular opportunities.

The district has three primary schools (K-4), one middle school (5-8), and one high school and values a whole-child education, where every child in kindergarten through 12th grade has the chance to grow academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Wyoming City Schools is regularly recognized at the state and national levels for academic excellence, including rankings in US News & World Report and The Washington Post and has been given the Best Communities for Music Education designation by the NAMM Foundation for the last three years.

In February, the Board will be approving a Leadership Profile that specifies the desired professional and personal qualifications and characteristics they are seeking in the new Superintendent. Applications will be confidential until a slate is presented to the Board on February 25, 2019. The Board anticipates naming a Superintendent by April, 2019 with a starting date of August 1, 2019. Salary and benefits are attractive and will be regionally competitive.
