Special Education Teacher (Anticipated) - Communication Disorders Collaborative (CDC) Fuller Elementary School - One-Year-Only for the 2018-2019 school year.
Fuller School is looking for a certified special educator with experience teaching students that have communication disorders, often involving social/pragmatic language weakness. Many of the students present with characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders; experience with the use of discrete trails and Applied Behavior Analysis; the ability to collaborate between the program and general education classrooms, with families and with area agencies; knowledge of the special education process and writing measurable IEP goals; and effective time management and scheduling skills to coordinate a wide variety of services.
Must have HQT status and New Hampshire certification in Special Education or be eligible to become certified. Elementary Education endorsement and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities endorsement also preferred.
This anticipated one-year-only (2018-2019) position is full-time with excellent benefits, including enrollment in the NH Retirement System.
