Assistant Executive Director-Lower Hudson Regional Information Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as a member of the LHRIC senior leadership team, supporting the delivery of services to school partners. Contribute to the planning, organization and delivery of all services of the Regional Information Center including management of daily operations, personnel and technological resources in collaboration with Southern Westchester BOCES, Rockland BOCES and Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES, all component districts of the three BOCES, NYSED partners and staff
•Conduct formal and informal presentations to BOCES personnel, school district administrators, SED technology staff, vendors and consultants
•Provide direct supervision to LHRIC departments as designated by Executive Director.
•Serve as a resource in the areas of curriculum and instruction, best practices, staff development and student standards in relation to instructional technology as well as student, teacher, principal and institutional accountability
•Serve as a resource in ensuring that computer systems and services are efficient, secure and meet the needs of all BOCES School District (component and non-component) and State Education Department needs
•Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified LHRIC employees. This includes the direct supervision of certified teachers working in district classrooms training teachers on the best practices of using new and emerging technologies.
•Assist districts with budget oversight by helping them determine the most cost effective and instructionally sound options in the world of instructional technology. This requires experience in fiscal accountability at the school district level as well as current knowledge of emerging technologies.
•Direct and coordinate all activities of internal departments within the LHRIC, and act on behalf of the Executive Director in his/her absence
•Participate in the budget formulation and provide final budget input to the Executive Director for internal LHRIC departments
•Work with the management team to provide the Executive Director with all relevant data necessary for the development of annual and long range plans
•Represent the LHRIC on all technical and educational technology matters both internally and externally
•Carry out all responsibilities as designated by Executive Director of LHRIC.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Candidates must possess NYS Permanent Certification as School District Administrator or School Administrator/Supervisor;
•Possess thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing student instruction and assessment along with student/teacher/principal evaluation and accountability;
•Proven experience in leading learning and technology integration in the school setting; Successful experience as a school and district leader.
